Food Pantry

September 6, 2009

Social Concerns is the organization in the parish that helps those in the community.  One of the ways they help is through our food pantry.  Each week people come in to the office to receive a food basket.  Food baskets are given to those in need.  This is a benefit for all of those in the community, not just members of Sacred Heart.

The food pantry is organized and maintained by volunteers.  The food is donated by members of the community and given back to the community.  Each year a drive is done around the month of October to replenish the food and prepare large baskets for those in need during the holidays, which is the busiest time of year for the pantry.

If you would like to help with the food pantry or are someone in need of a basket, please contact the parish office and we will provide you with all of the information that you need.

If you are in need of services, you are encouraged to fill out the Food Pantry Information Sheet and bring it with you to the food pantry.  Copies of the information sheet are available at the pantry as well.
